Romancin' the Dinks!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Romancin' the Dinks! is a fiction trilogy that helps readers ace their very own pickle poach slam!
A former fiction instructor with the acclaimed Long Ridge Writing Group, Mark's eighteen years of mar/com experience also has earned a Silver Addy Award, a Bronze Excalibur Award and cable television awards. His first mainstream fiction novel, Baccarat: Nine Lives South of Boona, was published by Creative Arts Books Company in 2002, earning critical praise from Publisher's Weekly.
The first book of the trilogy is Pickled (revamped from Baccarat). In it, the goings on of the gods will never again be musty ancient history while our protagonist Eleanor battles 'Pickleball Fever.' Champs train while losers complain with backhands of hooch dreams, honey, titanic smiles, an underworld mail carrier, extortion, and high stakes pickleball all offering the intrepid reader thrilling matches for the mind!
Let the conspiracies begin . . . in this contemporary seriocomedy, aces bounce wild.
In November 2005, one of Canada's leading publishers–Coscom Entertainment–delighted mystery aficionados everywhere and published Simple Savages. Revamped now as the trilogy's second offering, Poached, this seriocomedy offers an even more intimate look at America's next big sport.
After seducing the reader into big-city pickleball, a zestless patron named Olive allows the Reverend Argus, sexy Trixy, Kloot the Loot, and Mighty Andy Boone to shame fundraising until she discovers the true nature of giving from a savage alter ego. Going that hard or going home during Pickleball Telethon week causes even the moderating character–the actor, Simon Boone–to stiffen as dark fluids slip from the low side of Olive’s mouth like long, dirty lipstick blemishes before Olive gasps, “Romance me for my hundred thousand dollars!”
Nevertheless, some claim the big town of Boona means serendipity!
In Broderick's third novel and finale to the trilogy, Slammed! is an ancient curse which volleys Eleanor sinister dinks and lobs as she is handed control of the foothills amusement park. Immediately, the shady world thrusts her and Simon into an out-of-bounds passion as ghastly as their volleys of helplessness. Lurking in the foothills are Miss Salome Lee, the Alchemist, and the Carousel Man, as well as a pair of half-seen figures who thwart any pickleball camps or the penultimate, Pb USA.
When you think of pickleball, you don't think of ghosts, but you probably should. In this finale of the Romancin' the Dinks! fiction trilogy, both Eleanor and that actor Simon Boone fight inner demons, and, despite an extra turn of terror get pickled. Cause the past got backhand.
